EBSCO opened the trial access for academic community of Vilnius University of Applied Sciences to selected databases in area of applied sciences and informatics: Applied Sciences and Technology Source Ultimate, environmental studies: CAB Abstracts with Full Text, and databases in the area of medical and nursing sciences: Medline Ultimate and CINAHL Ultimate. The trial will be active for two months until 3rd of January 2023.

Applied Science & Technology Source Ultimate offers a diverse array of full-text and indexed content covering the full spectrum of the applied sciences and computing disciplines — from acoustics to aeronautics, neural networks to nuclear engineering. Content Includes: +2,000 full text journals, of which 780+ are active, full-text, non-open access journals and magazines, 600+ active, full-text, peer-reviewed, non-open access journals. Subjects Include: Aerospace, Agricultural engineering, Chemical engineering, Computer science, Genetics, Hydroponics, Mechanical engineering, Pharmacology, Robotics, Software development.
CAB Abstracts with Full Text, produced in collaboration with the experts at CABI, provides access to the world’s applied life sciences literature. Coverage includes subjects across the applied life sciences — from agriculture, the environment, and veterinary sciences, to applied economics, leisure/tourism, and nutrition. CAB Abstracts with Full Text covers key applied life sciences subjects including agriculture, environment, food science, human health, mycology, nutrition, plant sciences and veterinary sciences. Content includes 1,200+ active full-text journals.
CINAHL Ultimate is the most comprehensive full-text database in the field of nursing and allied health research. It covers such areas as: nursing, biomedicine, library science in the field of health sciences, alternative medicine and 17 related health sciences. The database indexes over 5,500 journals and contains over 7 million records with archives since 1937. The database contains the full text of over 1,800 journals, of which over 900 are active full-text non-open access journals. The database covers over 50 nursing specialties and includes quick lessons, evidence-based care sheets, CEU models and research instruments.
MEDLINE Ultimate offers medical professionals, students and researchers access to unmatched evidence-based and peer-reviewed full-text content from more of the top biomedical journals. The database provides access to the full texts of more than 2,800 journals, of which over 1,600 journals are active full-text non-open access journals. MEDLINE Ultimate is the authoritative research tool in the medical literature and provides access to medical information in general medicine, health, pharmacology, neurology, molecular biology, genetics, genomics, histology, microbiology and many other areas of medical science. The database uses the medical thesaurus MeSH (Medical Subject Headings).
