From the 5th to 25th of October, the Inconvenient documentary film festival returns to the screens. Each year, the carefully selected films tell true stories about real lives – from world-changing inspirational people to incredible and controversial events. This year, the festival’s films will once again be available not only in movie theaters and on home screens, but also in libraries across Lithuania.
The faculty libraries of Vilnius College are also joining the festival, where community members will be able to watch the festival films for free. Viewers at the libraries will be able to enjoy the films in two ways: by watching them individually on library computers or by participating in group screenings. For individual viewings, simply visit your faculty library, sit down at a computer, and use the login credentials provided by staff to access the online cinema. However, if watching movies alone isn’t as interesting and you’d like a shared cinematic experience, the library, in collaboration with “Nepatogus kinas,” invites you to screenings that will be simultaneously streamed to a network of Lithuanian libraries participating in the festival. Some screenings will be followed by discussions with interesting guests. Film screenings at faculty libraries:

- Technical, Arts and Design Faculties Library (16 Olandų St.) – individual viewings; screening of the film The Secret of Menopause on October 14 at 4:00 p.m., screening of the film Bialiackis on October 21 at 4:00 p.m
- Electronics and Informatics Faculty Library (15 Jasinskio St.) – individual viewings; screening of the film The Death of a Fantastic Device on October 19 at 12:00 p.m.
- Business Management Faculty Library (49 Didlaukio St.) – individual viewings.
