Mika Frankaitė Painting Exhibition “Stories”

From May 5–29, 2026, the fifth solo exhibition of paintings by Mika Frankaitė, titled “Stories”, will be on display at the Study and Research Recourses Center of Vilniaus kolegija.

The artist about the exhibition:

“Stories” are not stories in the traditional sense, but rather social media “stories” — images we share on our phones that remain visible for only 24 hours. Later, they settle into the archive and stay there, rarely revisited even for personal reflection or enjoyment.

Yet some images leave a vivid imprint in memory because of the moments connected to them, making us want to return to them not only in thought. I tried to preserve these moments for longer than 24 hours by painting them. Behind each work lies a story that visitors attending the exhibition opening will have the chance to hear.

I invite you to take a glimpse into my “stories” — not through a phone screen, but through the colors and brushstrokes of my palette. Views are not counted here.

We invite you to visit the fifth solo exhibition by Mika Frankaitė.

The exhibition opening and meeting with the artist will take place on May 14, 2026, at 6:00 PM.
