Micro session: applying Search Modes in EBSCOhost

During this training we will look at different ways to conduct a search using four search modes available on EBSCOhost platform. It is important as changing the search mode can make the results even more relevant and precise. We will look also how to combine a search mode with expanders such as Apply related words and with limiters such as Full Text or Publication Type.


EBSCO databases available through the national license in Latvia and Lithuania

During the session, we will review the EBSCO databases available for institutions through the national license in Latvia and Lithuania. The end users have access to EBSCO Open Dissertations ™ – an international database of diploma theses and dissertations, and many extensive scientific databases. The Academic Search ™ Complete and Business Source® Complete databases, included partly in the package, are among the most frequently used scientific resources in the world.

Central & Eastern European Academic Source (CEEAS) relaunch is LIVE! With more than 1,940 titles available right now this multidisciplinary and multilingual database covers many subjects including business, economics, history, STEM and law. During this session we will look at the content as well as practical search examples showing the power and uniqueness of this new database.


EBSCO resources for medical studies

Register for this training session

During the session, we will review the most important EBSCO resources that are useful for medicine and faculties related to the health science. Apart from discussing the content of databases (as MEDLINE Complete, CINAHL Complete, Dentistry & Oral Sciences Source), we will present available e-books on similar topics. The session will end with a search workshop on the EBSCOhost platform.
