Internship of the Head of the Business Management Faculty Library at the University of Granada

On May 4-8, 2026, Loreta Šetbarė, Head of the Business Management Faculty Library, participated in the International Staff Training Week organized by the University of Granada Library (Spain) through the Erasmus+ programme.

The international week brought together 23 participants from 17 countries around the world who shared their experiences and professional practices. Participants came from Angola, Armenia, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Kenya, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovenia, Uruguay.

During the visit, participants visited four faculty libraries, creative spaces, museums, and cultural heritage sites, which provided an opportunity to gain a closer understanding of the academic and cultural environment of the University of Granada. Participants were introduced to the library’s organizational structure, ongoing projects, the activities of working groups, and training organization practices. Presentations were given by library specialists, university professors, and students, who shared their professional and academic experience. Participants of the International Week also shared their presentations and discussed changes in library services, digital solutions, electronic resource management, the application of artificial intelligence, and opportunities for engaging the academic community. During the International Week, the Head of the Faculty of Business Management Library presented the training activities organized at the VIKO Library and discussed the gamification elements used to encourage more active students’ engagement.

This visit was an excellent opportunity to learn from the experience of foreign libraries, exchange insights, discuss common challenges with colleagues, and establish contacts for potential cooperation and future professional exchanges.
